Description
- Ethically sourced: This magical metallic creature was ethically sourced from a butterfly farm in Peru!
- Framed natural masterpiece: This morpho didius blue butterfly comes in a 9.25″ x 9.25″ frame, with glass to protect the specimen, and hardware on the back so that it can be hung on your wall and add whimsical charm to your space. The wing-span is roughly 5.5 inches. This framed insect art piece was crafted in the USA.
- Repurposed frame: The frame is from a Minnesota-based art framing shop. It is very high quality and made from wood. It was destined to be thrown away because it has very minor imperfections (there are a few tiny dents, that can’t even be seen in the photos), but they are unnoticeable and it looks exquisite nonetheless. Instead of being thrown away, it is being given a new life, and we are able to sell this piece at a lower price.
- Long-lasting: the glue (made in USA) that was used to attach the butterfly is acid-free, so it will not degrade the insect over time. This one-of-a-kind piece of art will last for a long time with proper care! See below for more information on how to take care of this beauty.
Care:
Do not place the insect in a humid place, as this may damage the specimen and weaken the glue.
Do not place the insect in an area with direct sunlight, as the UV rays will fade the colors over time.
